Fall 2004

Pat and Susan are originally from New York and California, respectively.  Until recently, we've been employed at high-tech companies in Silicon Valley, California..

We're excited to go cruising, but it has been difficult to leave our family and home to embark on a new adventure.  Our family have given us their love and support for this voyage, and we are grateful.  We’ve already made plans for the kids to meet us in the Bahamas for New Years 2005.  We can’t wait!  We’re looking forward for family and friends to visit us along the way.

We have been questioned many times by our friends and family why we are going cruising.  We have been working many years and since the children are now beginning their own lives, the timing was right to spend some valuable time together, have an adventure and some fun, while exploring new places.   We both have previous sailing experience and have owned boats in the past.  However, we've never lived aboard a boat for an extended period of time.  This will certainly be a challenge!  Cruising is  a great way to relax, explore new places, meet new people, and experience their culture.  We are excited about this adventure!

Scruffy is our 11-year old dog (and first mate) who will be accompanying us on our voyage.

.

Recently empty nesters, our children, are both attending college.  Isabelle is currently a senior at the Haas Business School at Berkeley, California and is studying abroad in Brazil during her 2004 fall semester.

.

Armand is a sophomore at Humboldt State University in Arcata, California enrolled in wildlife management studies.
